First GPS device and happy with it! The Bushnell BackTrack Original G2 is the first GPS device I’ve ever owned. I just wanted something to simply help me find my way back should I get lost on a dayhike.The product worked right out of the box. Two AAA batteries and it was ready to go. I almost didn’t need the instructions (Like programming a digital watch), so it should be fairly easy for anybody to set-up and use.To test it, I first marked a location I wanted to return to on the device (Outside my front door); you can save up to three locations. While on a short-distance food run, the arrow on the device pointed back to my marked location. Worked great! I used it at night, and there’s a blue back-light to illuminate the screen; not super-bright, just bright enough. As for the compass feature, its basic and easy to read. I made sure it was working correctly by comparing it to other digital and normal compasses I have. The entire device is light, compact and has an opening you can use to clip to…
